This is the PERRIN 3.0" Turbo Inlet Hose which is a direct replacement for the factory hose. Over time, the flange on the factory hose will compress and deform which will cause vacuum leaks at the turbocharger which will hinder your performance.
PERRIN has come up with a great solution with their 3" Turbo Inlet Hose. PERRIN uses a CNC billet flange along with an OEM O-ring in their design which also features heat-resistant multi-layered silicone fibers that won't expand or break down over time. When combined with a 3" piping diameter size and smooth interior walls, you get increased performance with better throttle response.

Great product, just need to cut it which is a bit of a scary thing. I have it connected to a Cobb Big SF+ Intake, and routed to my ETS Front Mount Intercooler. If you have an ETS FMIC you will need to buy a plastic hose adapter from Lowe's or Home depot to make it solid to connect the BPV/BOV hose that is part of the ETS FMIC piping.
Overall responsiveness is fantastic, and the sound is a bonus too. Here’s a few tips to make this an easy install: 1. Disregard Perrin’s instructions when it comes to cutting the inlet hose for aftermarket intakes. Measure before you cut or you will hate yourself. 2. Cut 1” off of the OEM evap hose to avoid kinks if you have a 2015-2017 WRX 3. Install the ****** first on the turbo before you install anything else. 4. Use grease... LOTS of grease
Came fast in the mail and the fitment is A1 sauce. Replacing the factory plastic inlet will make the biggest difference in the long run and biggest difference off the bat with a surging noise around 3-4k under acceleration load. Win win on my end
The install was easy but if you have the ETS CAI make sure you don't trim the inlet hose too short . It also helps lubing the inlets for install. I installed it on my 2015wrx that has the KillerB charge pipe and it sounds amazing! On my 2017wrx you can hear it faintly with the stock charge pipe. The car feels like it responds quicker after install. If your going to do this mod you might as well do the bov and boost controller at same time. I highly recommend this product.
Awesome!
