Everyone is finding out that the weak point of the 2015+ FA20F powered WRX are the rods; they bend under higher torque loads resulting in damages to the block and the crank. Subaru's OEM crank is amazingly durable and can handle all but the craziest power levels. That's why we recommend using a new factory crank when you start your FA20F shortblock build. It works.
