Morimoto designed this projector with a longer threaded shaft when compared to the 6.0 units. This helps with the ease of installation which requires you to remove the headlight lens, insert the threaded mounting shaft through the pre-existing hole in the back of the reflector, hand-tighten, check rotation, tighten, and reseal your headlights. Minimal cutting may be involved.
